Materials for work
In order to sharpen a meat grinder knife you will need:
- vinegar;
- toothpicks;
- small capacity;
- rags;
- nail;
- screwdriver;
- sandpaper grit from 180 to 1500;
- plywood with a flat surface;
- Scotch.
Step 1: Clean up the Mesh
The mesh is also a meat grinder knife, along with a petal one. To clean it from rust, pour 9% vinegar into a small container and place a mesh in it for 12 hours.

After the time has elapsed, we take out the mesh and clean it from the remnants of rust.
We clean the mesh with a rag from black plaque resulting from the reaction of iron with vinegar.
In order to clean the mesh holes, we bite off the head of the nail and wrap several layers of sandpaper on it. We clamp the nail into the screwdriver and clean the holes.

On a piece of flat plywood we place a sheet of sandpaper with a grit of 180 and in a circular motion we begin to level the mesh plane.

Gradually reducing the grit of sandpaper to 1500, we achieve a mirror surface of the mesh.

Step 2. Sharpen the petal knife
Similarly to the mesh, we sharpen the petal knife.

We wash the knife and the mesh and assemble the meat grinder.
To lubricate the meat grinder knives and remove the remnants of abrasive dust, scroll a piece of fat through the meat grinder.
