Chopper, for sure, is in any household plot. It is an indispensable assistant in the fight against weeds in beds and flower beds. But if such weeds as wheatgrass or sow thistle are wound up on the farm, an ordinary chopper cannot cope with it. We will tell you how to make a powerful chopper of an unusual shape with your own hands. Such a chopper can easily cope not only with powerful weeds, but also with young root shoots of trees.

Materials for manufacturing
In order to make a chopper, you will need:
- a piece of metal pipe ø80 mm;
- metal pipe ø15 mm (½ inch);
- Bulgarian;
- welding machine;
- marker;
- paper;
- vise;
- file.
Step 1. Shape the pipe into a chopper
On a metal pipe of a larger diameter, mark the shape of a chopper. To do this, we make marks 8 and 14 cm along the weld.
Having wrapped the pipe with paper at a mark of 14 cm, we make a line in a circle with a marker.
Next, we shift a sheet of paper from the 8 cm mark on the side of the weld to the 14 cm mark on the opposite side of the pipe and draw an oblique line.
We draw the same line in the opposite direction.
We clamp the pipe in a vice and cut the chopper along the lines obtained with a grinder.
The resulting chopper tooth is first sharpened with a grinder, and then finished with a file.
Step 2. Weld the handle
We will make the chopper handle from a ½ inch pipe. We cut the end of the pipe at an angle convenient for work.
We weld the handle to the chopper. Our tool is ready.
Such a chopper can easily cope with weeds even on virgin lands.
And the planting of seeds can be carried out in three easy movements: we select the earth into a chopper - we throw the seeds into the hole - we return the earth from the chopper, covering the seeds.
