It's no secret that with the current exorbitant prices for heating, many of us would like to save on heating the apartment. But how to do that? The option to live in an unheated apartment does not count. An alternative to heating a room with gas or wood can be solar collectors that accumulate solar energy. But such equipment is quite expensive. We offer you a design option, the creation of which does not require large financial investments. All you need is a set aluminum cans from carbonated drinks and a little patience.

Materials for manufacturing
In order to make a solar collector for heating you will need:
- 100+ aluminum cans of carbonated drinks (the number of cans depends on the size of the structure);
- drill with a nozzle "crown";
- grinder;
- ruler with a marker;
- wooden bars;
- moisture resistant plywood;
- snail fan;
- Bulgarian;
- aluminum sheet and clamp;
- hammer;
- glue gun;
- sealant;
- board;
- a can of black acrylic lacquer;
- glass;
- screwdriver.
Step 1. Making blanks from aluminum cans
We insert the “crown” nozzle into the drill.

We drill holes in the bottom of each aluminum can with a drill.

We grind the seam of the lid of all cans.

Here is the result.

Step 2. Preparing the base
For the base in the video, boxes from broken factory-made solar panels are used. In one of the boxes, we remove the bottom, leaving only a metal profile, so that later we can make a box of the desired height (aluminum pipes should fit in it).

Step 3. Install the fan
On one of the smaller sides of the box in the middle, using a marker and a ruler, we outline the installation location of the snail fan.

We cut the profile according to the markup with a grinder.

Using a hammer, we bend the adapter pipe from a tall aluminum can or aluminum sheet. We make the edge to which the corrugated pipe will be attached cylindrical by making longitudinal cuts, and put a clamp on it.

Insert the fan outlet into the pipe lubricated with sealant.

We fasten the fan with a branch pipe to the frame by blowing it out. Lubricate the upper end of the frame with sealant, and install another frame on top.

Step 4. Making and installing aluminum pipes
We collect pipes from cans, fixing them first with a glue gun.

Let the finished pipes dry and treat the joints of the cans with sealant.

To fix the pipes in the box, we cut out two blanks of the required size from the board. on both sides we make gashes in them. Using a drill with a “crown”, we make holes in them, into which we will insert the ends of the pipes in the future.

We install the finished boards in the box and fix it with sealant.

We install pipes, having previously processed their edges with a sealant.

Step 5. Final work
At the bottom of the structure on the side opposite to the fan, we make small holes with a drill with a “crown”, on top of which we install nets (to prevent insects from getting inside the structure.

We cover the entire inner surface of the structure with black acrylic varnish.

Here is the result.

We apply sealant to the upper end of the frame and boards.

We cover the structure with glass, previously washed on both sides. We press it well and let the sealant dry.

The result is this design.

We conduct testing
We give some time for the structure to warm up in the sun. Connect the fan leads to the power supply.

We measure the temperature of the air outside.

And now we measure the temperature at the outlet of the fan of our solar collector.

To heat the premises, we attach a corrugated pipe to the branch pipe, fixing it with a clamp.

We launch the other end of the pipe into the house.
