Those who have a pond or pool in a country house or in the country, for sure, faced a problem when they need to be cleaned. And for this you need to first pump out the water. But such a pump is quite expensive equipment. We will tell you how you can make a pump with your own hands, and quite powerful.

Materials for manufacturing
In order to make a pump for pumping water, you will need:
- Bulgarian;
- cartridge from an electric drill with a welded nut;
- steel pipe with a diameter of 50 mm;
- fittings;
- welding machine;
- board;
- hammer;
- drill;
- pliers
- insulating tape.
Step 1. We assemble the engine
We unscrew the cutting disc, handle, protective cover from the grinder and puck.

We take a cartridge from an electric drill. From the back side, weld a nut to it.

We wind the cartridge with a nut on the grinder shaft.

Step 2. We make a water intake structure
We put a board and cut off two blanks from a metal pipe at an angle of 45 degrees. One of them should be at least half a meter, and the length of the second should correspond to the depth of your reservoir.

On a workpiece 50 cm from the side of the oblique cut, stepping back from the edge a distance equal to half the diameter of the pipe, we drill a hole for the reinforcement.

We connect the pipe sections and weld them, obtaining an L-shaped structure.

Step 3. Making a shaft with an impeller
We cut off the workpiece from the reinforcement, which is 10-15 cm longer than the intake pipe. We cut off a blank about 5 cm long from the rest of the pipe.

Cut it lengthwise and level it with a hammer.

With a grinder, we cut a rectangle from the plate that fits the inner diameter of the pipe. In the center of it we drill a hole for the reinforcement.

We put the resulting workpiece on the reinforcement and with the help of pliers we bend the edges of the workpiece, making an impeller out of it. We weld the impeller to the reinforcement closer to the bottom edge. This will be the pump shaft.

In places where the shaft is supposed to exit the pipe, we grind the reinforcement ribs. We introduce the shaft with the impeller into the intake pipe.

The other end of the shaft is brought out through a hole drilled in a half-meter pipe.

So that the impeller with the shaft does not fall out, we cut out a rectangle from the leveled pipe, the large side of which is equal to the diameter of the pipe. We drill a hole in it for the shaft and weld it to the lower edge of the intake pipe.

Step 4. Making the casing
We cut off another blank 20-25 cm long from the remaining pipe. Cut it along.

We slightly unbend the workpiece so that the body of the grinder fits into it.

Using four pieces of reinforcement of the required length, we weld the casing to a half-meter pipe so that the cartridge is strictly above the hole. We insert the armature into the cartridge and clamp it.

We fix the body of the grinder with electrical tape.


We conduct testing
We check the operation of the tool first in a bucket of water.

And then in the pond.
