Is the socket falling out of the wall along with the socket? Does the fastener not hold well or does it not reach the wall? This happens quite often. What to do? Change socket or plaster wallsat? Neither one nor the other - we will make an unusual repair of a drop-down socket.

Introduction
There can be many reasons for the appearance of a defect of this kind - starting with poor-quality repairs and ending with a tight socket that followed the plug of the appliance when it was disconnected from the mains. The main consequence is that the socket box begins to fall out constantly. The adjusting screws holding it down don't help.
There is a way out - to fix the socket on liquid nails. Absolutely any modification of them is suitable for this operation, starting with their cheapest variation.
Step number 1 - de-energizing the outlet and disassembling it
Working under voltage is life threatening. Therefore, before proceeding with the repair, you need to worry about turning off the mains. It will also not be superfluous to check the absence of voltage with an indicator screwdriver - there can be a lot of switches, you can make a mistake when turning off the machine.
After making sure that it is safe, unscrew the decorative panel from the outlet. This concludes the disassembly. We got access to the socket, and that's more than enough.
We make sure that the socket box cannot be fixed with original fasteners.
Step number 2 - applying glue "Liquid nails"
The versatility of liquid nails lies not only in the fact that they are able to glue dissimilar materials, but also in the fact that the adhesive layer can be very thick.
Step number 3 - installing a socket
After applying the glue, carefully, trying not to get dirty in the adhesive, insert the socket back into the wall socket. Press it firmly against the wall.
The adjusting bolts can be fully tightened. The fact is that when the adhesive composition hardens, the clamps will add strength to the socket to tear it out of the wall.
Excess glue that has been squeezed out from under the socket housing should be removed with a paper towel.
Step 4 - Glue Curing and Final Assembly
Glue "Liquid nails" does not gain strength immediately. The time for complete hardening depends on the thickness of the applied adhesive, as well as on the brand of liquid nails. Typically, the curing time is from 12 to 36 hours.
The cover is recommended to be installed after the liquid nails have completely dried. However, if this operation is performed carefully, then it is possible immediately after gluing.

A day later - a test of strength
I don’t know about you, but my fork comes in with effort and is also removed. I stuck it in several times and pulled it out with an effort, I found that the socket did not even budge - everything was in place, everything was in perfect order.
The work was done and checked in 15 minutes within one day.

thanks for the advice
Wow, people give advice just like me, and my needlework spouse sends my advice wherever the wind blows.
Stupidity, not advice glue only sticks to the drywall surface how long will it last?
just fill the entire cavity with the cheapest foam from the cylinder, and insert the socket there - put it carefully not on the pig - the foam expands when it dries and fills all the cavities, which means there will be more contact area between the socket and drywall. Yes, and wait a day - for the foam to dry - if it crawled out somewhere CAREFULLY (without fanaticism), cut off the excess foam with a knife
Thank you for the article. Very helpful. No extra water
Who does that. And then how to parse?
Why take it apart? If there are no brains, then there is no need to disassemble.
Suggest your option?
