Do you have an old, broken or just useless washing machine? Don't throw it away. After all, from one of its parts you can make a useful device that will come in handy in your country house or garden plot. It's about the water pump. It is located at the very bottom, under the drum and serves to pump the water used by the washing machine into the sewer. And you can make a submersible pump for watering or pumping water out of a pump.

We make a submersible pump from a washing machine pump with our own hands
Such a pump operates directly from a variable network of 220 V 50 Hz and its average power is 30 watts. If you want to pump water from a deep well, then such a device, of course, will not work. It just doesn't have enough power. But it will be possible to get smaller water from the reservoir.
The pump consists of 2 parts: an electromagnetic coil with a U-shaped core and a sealed pump assembly with an impeller and an engine core.
Step 1

The first step is to disconnect the coil from the pump itself. It is quite easy to do this. Photo: https://youtu.be/BSHTJq5j7os
Step 2

The coil has a thermal fuse. If the temperature rises, it will work and the winding will not burn out. Now you need to solder the double insulated power cable. Take a closer look, there is a saw in the frame for this. Photo: https://youtu.be/BSHTJq5j7os
Step 3

We make boxes from cardboard or paper. You will pour epoxy resin into it, which will serve as a sealant. Photo: https://youtu.be/BSHTJq5j7os
Step 4

Fill the box with epoxy. To make it easy to remove, we use some surface as a substrate. A plastic lid works great. Photo: https://youtu.be/BSHTJq5j7os
Step 5

Before pouring the resin, glue the painting boxes with a glue gun so that the epoxy does not leak out. Then, in a thin stream, start pouring in the resin. Photo: https://youtu.be/BSHTJq5j7os
Step 6

Check if the resin has cured. It will take her about a day to do this. Photo: https://youtu.be/BSHTJq5j7os
Step 7

Tear off the plastic cover and trim off the excess glue. Now you can put on the impeller. Photo: https://youtu.be/BSHTJq5j7os
Step 8
Step 9

It's time to test the pump. To do this, take a bucket of water and immerse it in it. Photo: https://youtu.be/BSHTJq5j7os
Step 10

Here is such a simple device pumped out all the water from the bucket in just a few seconds. If you want to make the same device, be vigilant and careful. Remember that you are dealing with a voltage of 220 watts. Photo: https://youtu.be/BSHTJq5j7os

Super DIY! Submersible pump for irrigation with your own hands!
One of the subscribers gave me the idea to make a submersible pump for irrigation and drainage from a washing machine pump. In order to assemble such a pump, we need to slightly modify the drain pump, from a semi-automatic washing machine.
