Sandblast in 5 minutes
On the Internet, there are several options for home-made production of such tools. And for the most part, they require plumbing and welding skills from the do-it-yourselfer. Our manufacturing method is much simpler and cheaper to manufacture.
This will require:
- spray gun without top can
- 1 liter empty plastic bottle with wide neck
- drill and drills
Step #1
On the nozzle of the pulvizator we make markings for the hole. Abrasive will flow through it. At a distance of 3 cm from the attachment point of the nozzle tube, we mark about 2 cm.
Step #2
With a file, according to the markup, we grind the upper part of the tube to half.
You don't need to remove more than half. Approximately it should turn out, as shown in the photo above.
Step #3
We take a plastic bottle with a volume of 0.5-1 liter and remove the rim fixing the cork with a clerical knife. You can take a larger bottle, but it will be difficult to hold it.
Step #4
The tube of the pulverizer should pass through the neck of the bottle. The best place for this is immediately under the cork - there is the toughest and most durable place.
Step #5
The drill must be selected based on the size of the tube - it is better to take it a little smaller. In this case, the tube will fit tightly into the holes, and the need for sealing will disappear. Otherwise, you can fix the latter with hot glue.
Step #6
Insert the gun tube.
Step #7
Pour the abrasive into the sandblasting container (bottle). The best type in such a tool is an abrasive made from walnut shells. Sand can also be used, but it will quickly “eat” the tip of the tube.
Step #8
We connect the pulvizator to the compressor, turn the bottle upside down - the tool is ready for use.

Safety
When working with a sandblasting tool, you need to protect your eyes from getting into them with an abrasive and your hand from being damaged by it. Therefore, goggles and thick gloves are a must. A hat or bandana on your head will also not be superfluous.
In conclusion, mention should be made of the permissible operating pressures. The maximum allowable value is about 4 atmospheres. It should not be exceeded - a plastic bottle may explode.
