Design and principle of operation

Aerobic treatment of biological wastewater is used in local treatment facilities (VTP) of the Topas series. Bacteria of this type decompose waste, resulting in the formation of activated sludge and a small amount of carbon dioxide.
By staged processing, the degree of purification is 98%. The main condition for the existence of aerobic bacteria is the constant enrichment of water with oxygen.
Cleaning stages in the Topas 6 septic tank:
Receiver. Effluent is mixed with sludge, when the chamber is full, the switch is turned on, the first compressor starts to work. It pumps water into the aeration tank, the flows pass through the filter.
Aerotank. In this zone, the main decomposition of biological waste occurs with the help of aerobic bacteria. The medium is enriched with oxygen, the source is the second compressor. Non-biological residues and large fractions remain in the bottom sludge.
Secondary sump. Here is a filter in the form of a pyramid. The liquid from the aeration tank after passing through it is divided into fractions. The heavy ones settle to the bottom, the smaller ones, together with the sludge, again enter the receiver.
Storage device. Completely purified water enters it. It is removed through the outlet pipe by gravity or forcibly using a pump.

TOPAS 6 Long
Not always the standard characteristics of VOCs are suitable for arranging an autonomous sewer. It is necessary to make a calculation and analysis of the land plot - compliance with the slope of the external pipeline, height difference, minimum allowable distances to objects. To address these issues, modifications of the septic tank have been developed.
Topas 6 PR
A forced discharge tank with a drainage pump has been added to the design. This is necessary if there is a possibility of a change in the direction of the purified water flow. This can lead to overflow and improper operation of the VOC.
The model is relevant for areas with a significant elevation difference. In such cases, often the outlet pipe is below the level of the storage tank or waste channel.
Topas 6 Long
This modification has an elongated neck, it is possible to install the inlet pipe below the standard level. This increases the height to 3.1 m. This must be taken into account when drawing up the installation diagram.
It is necessary to comply with the slope of the external line of the autonomous sewage system. This happens at a considerable distance from the foundation of a residential building to a septic tank. Such a model is the best alternative to arranging a pressure sewer.
Topas 6 Long OL
The Topas Long PR model combines both modifications. It is used for areas with difficult terrain and a non-standard layout of the external sewerage pipeline. It is recommended to choose only after a detailed analysis of all installation and connection conditions.

The main advantage of the station is sewage treatment up to 98%. But for this you need to follow the rules of operation, ensure a constant flow of biological waste, do not exceed the daily processing rate and burst discharge. To do this, they calculate the average and maximum loading of VOCs for specific operating conditions.

Mounting Features
When choosing the installation site for the Topas 6 septic tank, one must be guided by regulatory documents and technical conditions. In the first case, you need to study SNiP 2.04.03-85, 2.04.04-85, 2.04.01-85 and SanPiN 2.1.5.980-00.
These documents regulate the minimum distances from the septic tank to the objects on the site. So, the distance from the foundation of a residential building should be at least 4 m, and to the source of drinking water (well, well) - from 30 m.
Technical conditions - this is a list of requirements that ensure the normal operation of an autonomous sewage system. Basic: the slope of the pipeline towards the Topas 6 septic tank, the minimum number of corner elements, the installation of inspection hatches.
The general procedure for installing a cleaning station:
- Location selection. The depth of the inlet pipe for connecting the pipeline is preliminarily calculated.
- Pit formation. With normal soil characteristics, its dimensions should be 50-60 cm larger than the LOS for each side.If the soil is unstable, there are quicksands, you need to leave room for protective formwork.
- Pillow formation. The bottom of the pit is leveled, gravel is added, and then sand.
- Concrete base. It is necessary to "anchor" the hull, which will prevent its extrusion (floating) due to the high level of groundwater.

To ensure the normal operation of the Topas 6 septic tank, it is necessary to periodically clean the nodes, check the concentration of activated sludge. The state of the airlift, walls, branch pipes is visually controlled.
To control the concentration of activated sludge, it is necessary to turn on the direct cleaning mode and collect a sample in a liter transparent container. After settling, the sludge sediment should occupy no more than 1/3 of the container.
VOC maintenance schedule:
- Cleaning the coarse fraction filter - once a month.
- Removal of excess sludge from the aeration tank - 1 time in 3 months.
- Extraction of solid non-biological waste - 1 time in 12 months.
- Replacement of compressor membranes - 1 time per year.
- Aerators change once every 15-16 years.
