Diagonal size and resolution
In stores, you can find modern TVs with screen sizes from 20 to 98 inches. It is clear that the larger the screen, the better the immersive effect will be. Matrix type

LED screens are by far the most common. There are two varieties of them, depending on the location of the crystals on the matrix:
- Ips - on such panels, liquid crystals are parallel to the plane of the screen, the light is scattered to the sides. This allows you to get a good viewing angle, excellent color reproduction, but such displays do not have high contrast and black depth.
- VA - crystals in matrices of this type are located perpendicular to the plane of the screen.This makes it possible to completely block out the light, getting deep blacks. However, the viewing angle of such monitors is small.
QLED is an advanced version of light technology. Some brands use a different name, for example LG TVs with QLED matrix technology is called Nano Cell. The picture on such models is brighter and more saturated.
OLED is a more modern technology based on the use of organic light emitting diodes. In this case, no additional illumination is required. These displays are characterized by high contrast, wide color gamut, excellent black quality. The disadvantages of such devices include gradual burnout, the manifestation of residual traces from static images. In addition, such TVs are inferior in brightness to LED screens.
Backlight type
TVs with all types of matrix except OLED use LED backlighting. LEDs can be placed in different ways. In Direct LED technology, they are evenly spaced, which ensures high brightness, dynamic contrast, and no glare. The main disadvantage of such screens is their large thickness and relatively high power consumption. A modern modification of this technology is FALD.
