Materials for manufacturing
In order to make a cultivator, you will need:
- metal pipe Ø 2 cm;
- car suspension spring;
- Bulgarian;
- welding machine;
- marker;
- vise;
- plywood, mounting stud, nuts for making a template;
Step 1. Making the base of the cultivator
We will make the fangs of the cultivator from the central part of the spring of the automobile suspension. With a marker, we outline 4 half-turns for fangs blanks.
We cut the spring with a grinder.
We make a template from plywood and a mounting stud, on which we will weld the main part of the cultivator.
We put a sleeve cut off from a metal pipe on the stud and clamp it with a nut.
We arrange the fangs so that when the cultivator is rotated clockwise, they seem to bite into the ground.
After welding, this is the basis for the cultivator.
We sharpen the fangs of the cultivator at an angle of 45 degrees.
Step 2. Lengthen the fangs
For better positioning of the cultivator during work, we will lengthen the fangs, shifting them to the center. To do this, cut off 4 blanks from the rest of the spring.
For better docking with the fangs of the base, we sharpen one side at 45 degrees.
Having placed the base of the cultivator on the template, we expose the resulting blanks.
We weld the workpieces and grind the welding spots.

Step 3. We weld the bar and collar
From a metal pipe we cut out a bar, convenient in height for work and a crank.
We weld them together and weld them to the base of the cultivator.
Step 4. Testing
The cultivator easily loosens even hard ground.
