Global warming in the world has not bypassed our dachas and garden plots. It is almost impossible to imagine a good harvest without watering. This raises the problem of how to fold and where to store the hose without bending it. In our article we will tell you how to make a hose reel with your own hands. To create it, you do not need a lot of time and money. Just follow the instructions.

Materials for manufacturing
To make a hose reel you will need:
- old car disk;
- profile pipes 15x15 mm;
- round pipe;
- hammer;
- 4 screws;
- hub;
- wheel;
- roulette;
- marker;
- metal round timber;
- vise;
- Scotch;
- paint cans;
- welding machine;
- electric drill or hammer drill;
- quick-detachable hose connector;
- dowel;
- Bulgarian.
Step 1. Building the foundation
Hammer knock out the studs from the hub.
We measure and cut off two profile pipes, 20 cm longer than the diameter of the disk. We mark their center.
We weld the hub to the intended center of the two pipes.
We weld a frame to one of the ends for attaching the coil to the wall. To do this, cut off 2 long and 4 short pieces from the profile pipe.
We weld the frame, placing two short segments at the edges, and two closer to the hub.
We drill through holes in the frame for future fastening.
Step 2. Creating a mechanism to control the angle of the hose reel
From a metal round timber we cut out two blanks of the same length.
We cut off two pieces from the profile pipe and drill two holes symmetrically into them, closer to one of the edges.
We insert round timber blanks into the holes obtained.
We cut off two pieces from a metal pipe a little less along the length of round timber blanks.
We put them on top of the metal round timber, on the opposite ends of the round timber we fix the second blank from the profile pipe.
We cut a piece from the profile pipe along the width of our mechanism and weld it.
We weld the finished workpiece to the free end of the rack with the hub.
We glue the hub with adhesive tape and paint the workpiece with spray paint.
Step 3. Making a coil
To make it easy to fold the hose, we weld the steering wheel from the tractor to the disk. Its diameter should be larger than the disk itself.
On the spokes of the wheel with a marker, we make two marks with an indent of 1 cm, thus outlining the legs on which the wheel will be mounted.
Having fixed the steering wheel in a vice, we cut off unnecessary parts along the second marks. We bend the legs with a hammer along the first mark.
We weld the legs to the disk.
With a grinder, we make a rectangular hole in the disk through which the hose will be inserted.
We paint the workpiece with spray paint.
We put the disk on top of the hub and weld it.
Step 4 Attaching the Coil to the Wall
We drill four holes according to the size of the rack in the wall and drive in the dowels.
We attach the rack with self-tapping screws.
We wind the hose onto the disc, passing its end into the hole in the disc.
We install a quick-release connector on the end of the hose brought out through the hub.
Any nozzle can be attached to the other end of the hose.
Our coil is ready to use. The hose is easy to unwind - you just need to pull it slightly. With the same ease, the hose can be twisted back by turning the steering wheel.
