Every home craftsman has always had a problem in everyday life - how to bend a metal pipe without breaking it? Of course, this problem is easily solved if the farm has a special machine or pipe bender. But very often there is no such equipment, and it is not economically profitable to buy it to perform one-time work. In our article, we will tell you how to bend a metal pipe without special devices, avoiding creases.

Materials for work
In order to bend the pipe, you will need:
- a wooden branch of a suitable diameter;
- saw;
- knife or ax;
- hammer;
- sand;
- gas burner or blowtorch.
Step 1. Fill the pipe with sand
We saw off two blanks from a wooden branch or bar and sharpen the pegs so that they fit snugly into the pipe.

We hammer a peg into the pipe from one side.

Fill the pipe with sand through the second edge. If the pipe is small and sand is not at hand, you can, as in the example, use cat litter.

Having filled the pipe completely, we also hammer a peg on the second side.
Step 2. Bend the pipe
We heat the bend on the gas burner.

We bend the pipe, taking it by both edges with our hands and resting the place of the bend on some support (in the example, a round timber clamped in a vice).
