Materials for manufacturing
To make traffic jams, you will need:
- silicone sealant;
- food coloring in different colors (optional)
- mixing container;
- starch;
- forms for traffic jams of various types;
- petrolatum.
Step 1. Making a cork on a wide-mouth bottle
Squeeze out the silicone into the container, add the dye and mix.

In a suitable container, lubricated with petroleum jelly, lay out the resulting composition, level it and also cover it with petroleum jelly on top.

After the mixture dries, we take it out of the mold and cut off the protruding edges. The cork obtained in this way is ideal for sealing containers.

Step 2. Making a lid on a container with a wide neck
Mix the silicone in a container (you can add a dye if you wish).
We place it in a form that is slightly wider than the neck of the jar, level it and grease it with petroleum jelly.

We place the neck of the jar in a container, turn it over and leave to harden.
When the silicone has completely hardened, remove the mold and clean up the resulting lid a little.
The lid fits tightly over the neck of the jar.

Step 3. Making a cork on a bottle
Pour four tablespoons of starch into a container, add silicone pre-mixed with dye and knead the “dough”.

We lubricate the neck of the bottle with petroleum jelly and, pressing the resulting mass a little, we form the shape of a cork.

After hardening, remove the cork.
In this way, you can get reliable hermetic plugs for any containers.
