The mesh filter is recommended to be washed periodically. This is not difficult to do, you just need to unscrew the nut, remove the filter and rinse it.
However, despite the simplicity of the work, many are stopped by the fact that when the nut is unscrewed, the entire water-locking structure begins to spin.
Therefore, in this article we will consider how to unscrew the strainer nut without negative consequences.

Necessary tool and procedure
For all actions, we need two adjustable or open-end wrenches of suitable size.
You will also need a fum tape and a paper towel, you can use toilet paper.
Stage number 1 - unscrew the filter nut
The difficulty arises only if one key is used to unscrew.
So let's use two. With the first key we will unscrew the filter nut, and with the second we will hold the pipe in a static position.
Having installed the keys on the nuts, as shown in the figure, we give the main effort to the key that unscrews the filter nut, the second one does not allow the pipe to turn.
After the nut has been “torn off” from its place, unscrew it manually. Be prepared for the rest of the water to flow out.
Stage number 2 - cleaning the filter
We disassemble the filter - remove the cylindrical mesh from the nut.
Rinse the mesh filter in water. Therefore, you need to prepare it in advance. The filter is gently squeezed in a circle and washed with water. It is necessary to deform the filter easily so that the connecting seam does not come apart.
Stage number 3 - installing the filter back
Assembly is carried out in the reverse order. Before installation, make sure that the sealing gasket is in place and that it is in good working order. If the seal is broken, then you can use fum tape, fum thread or linen.
We insert the filter into the nut and place it back into the housing.
Bait by hand and tighten with two wrenches. One key tightens, the other holds the pipe in a static position.

Conclusion
Before using the water supply, you need to make sure that the connection is tight. Check with a paper towel:
- wipe dry the filter housing and nut
- turn on the water supply
- apply a dry paper towel to the nut
If there are no wet traces, then the filter seal is in order.
