Polyurethane foam is a very high quality building material. It adheres perfectly to almost any surface, which is why we appreciate it. However, there are unsanctioned situations: soiled clothes, interior items or hands.
Until the foam has hardened, it can be cleaned with special cleaners sold in construction stores just for this. But when the mounting foam has risen, it is almost impossible to remove its traces from the surface with such means.
How to remove mounting foam when it has dried, our photo instruction will tell you.

An effective method for removing the "old" mounting foam
To demonstrate the effectiveness of our technique, consider the removal of hardened foam from a wooden surface, as well as with ordinary fabric.
Step 1 - mechanical removal of foam
It is not difficult to remove the foam “cap” from the surface with any knife or other sharp instrument.
If the fabric is dirty, then you also need to remove everything that can be scraped off.
However, no matter how well we clean, characteristic marks will remain on the surface that cannot be removed with a knife or solvent. For this purpose, a pharmacy remedy was found - dimexide.
A little about Dimexide. This is a medical preparation that is used for external use in order to combat sciatica, joint pain, as well as the treatment of various skin diseases and defects. You can buy it at any pharmacy, the price is 50-60 rubles per 100 mg bottle.
Step 2 - destroy the structure of the foam
Oddly enough, but the dimexide solution dissolves the mounting foam well. Therefore, to remove traces of it, we apply our solvent to the treated area.
For hard surfaces: moisten a swab, rags, etc., and apply to the remaining foam.
For fabrics: they can be lightly dampened.
Step 3 - removing the remnants of mounting foam
After the agent is absorbed into the mounting foam, you can proceed to remove the latter. As a rule, it is enough to wait 5 minutes for this. As you can see from the photo, traces of foam have dissolved, and are easily removed even with a soft cotton swab.
To clean the fabric, you need to shake it, i.e. wrinkle as it is done with a hand wash.

Scope of dimexide
Although this tool copes well with frozen foam, its use is limited. They categorically cannot handle varnished surfaces - dimexide will remove varnish along with foam.
