From school physics lessons, we all learned the fact that electric current is transmitted through wires. With the advent of smartphones with the possibility of contactless charging, many people have a question: “How is electricity transmitted without wires?” In this article, we will slightly open the veil on the secrets of physics and even create a device that can charge a smartphone at a distance.

Materials for manufacturing
In order to conduct the experiment, you will need:
- copper wire;
- 3.5 V DC motor;
- pipe ø50 mm;
- Light-emitting diode;
- soldering iron;
- three 18650 batteries;
- plastic containers for 1 and 3 batteries.
Step 1. Prepare the inductors
We wind 100 turns of copper wire on the pipe and remove the coil from the pipe. In total, it is necessary to make two such coils.
We solder a plastic container for 1 battery and an engine in series to the first coil, and an LED to the second coil.

Step 2. Conducting an experiment
Insert the battery into the container. The engine started up.
We bring the second coil to the first - the LED lights up.

Let's increase the transmitted energy. To do this, disconnect the container for 1 battery and solder a three-battery one in its place.

Insert batteries. The engine started much faster.

We bring the second coil to the first. The LED lights up much brighter!
