Creating a frame holding the shape goes like this:

- The wire is tried on to the drawing and cut with wire cutters to the required length. The ends are cleaned with sandpaper
- The metal piece is shaped into a circle, bent with round-nose pliers and leveled, if necessary, with a hammer
- The joints of the ends are welded with a blowtorch. If there is no tool, then it is allowed to use thin copper wire or electrical tape for docking
- A wire of smaller diameter is cut into 6 pieces of 40 cm each - these will be the frame racks - and 4 short elements of 12 cm each to secure the ceiling fixture
- Rings with a diameter of 20 and 30 cm are connected parallel to each other (the smaller one is at the top, the larger one is at the bottom), welding 6 pieces of wire to them
- 4 short pieces are welded to the lower ring from the inside towards the center of the circle, inserting a small wire ring in the middle. A ceiling will subsequently be attached to it
- The entire structure is rubbed with sandpaper and covered with paint for metal.
From fabric for a floor lamp
To create a homemade decorative element, you need fabric and a metal frame
The best solution for decorating a floor lamp would be a fabric frame lampshade. For its manufacture, you will need a ready-made or home-made metal frame made of wire and a fabric base.
To cover a rigid frame with a cloth, first make a paper pattern. To calculate the construction of the figure, the diameter and height of the wire structure are taken into account.

However, the easiest way for a frame in the shape of a truncated cone: paint the outer surface of the metal rings with a black felt-tip pen, and then roll it over a piece of drawing paper. The following are the instructions:

- The resulting 2 blanks are connected to each other by ironing from the side of the fabric. So the film is securely adhered to the material
- Try on the pattern on the frame: fasten the decorative side out to the top of the frame with clerical clips. Stretch the fabric and make the same fasteners from below. Mark the lines of future fasteners
- Remove the workpiece and stitch the top and bottom seams on a sewing machine. Put on the frame, align along the lines
- From above, overlap the fabric through the upper and lower circles, glue the layers together with glue, secure with paper clips. Leave until completely dry
- Put the finished shade on the lamp
